A military expert talks about the "invisible war" in which Romania is involved.

Commander (r) Valentin Mateiu, an expert in the military field, discusses the Russian hackers' attack that compromised 67 email accounts of the Romanian Air Forces, including those of NATO air bases.

He emphasizes that this incident is part of an ongoing hybrid war, in which Russia seeks to obtain sensitive data about the critical infrastructure of the West. Mateiu mentions that the attack could be a result of security breaches, but also a targeted attack on Romanian military information. He compares the situation to the attacks in Bulgaria, where hackers attempted to block GPS systems, which could lead to sabotage.

He also highlights the importance of collaboration with international partners, especially with the USA, to counter these threats. Mateiu concludes that, although risks exist, security measures have already been implemented to protect sensitive information.
