Meteorologists have issued a warning regarding the significant risk of avalanches in several mountainous areas, especially in the Ceahlău massif, where the snow layer is substantial at altitudes over 1500 meters. Rising temperatures have led to the melting of the snow, and the fresh snow, deposited over an older layer, risks dislocating, causing avalanches. An avalanche risk rated 3 out of 5 is also present in Bucegi, Fągăraş, Călimani, Bistriţei, Ţarcu-Godeanu, and Parâng-Şureanu, at altitudes over 1800 meters.

The nivometeorological bulletin indicates a snow accumulation of over two meters at Vârful Omu, 1.8 meters at Bâlea-Lac, and 1.5 meters at the Ţarcu meteorological station. The warning is valid until the evening of April 6, and the weather will remain variable, with possible isolated rains. The wind will blow lightly to moderately, with temporary intensifications in high areas. Meteorologists recommend caution in mountainous areas.
