Nicu Ștefănănuță, independent MEP, asked the Romanian Gendarmerie to explain the abusive behavior at the Palestine solidarity protest.

Ștefănuță witnessed the protest in Bucharest on May 18, where gendarmes checked and wrote down the personal data of participants and asked for details about the medicines in their pockets. He sent a letter to the Jandarmerie and the Ministry of Internal Affairs with questions about the incident.
