The general mayor of Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, has made an appeal to citizens not to leave their homes and to avoid using personal cars, in order to allow snow removal equipment to clear the streets affected by heavy snowfall. In a press conference, alongside the head of ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, Irinel Precup, the mayor emphasized the mobilization of authorities to manage the situation generated by the red snow alert, which will continue until Wednesday.

Ciprian Ciucu assured that, although there are difficulties in the circulation of trolleybuses and trams, interventions are underway and an improvement in the situation is expected throughout the day. He also mentioned that cleaning teams are working to clear the roads and restore traffic. Several cities and counties in Romania have been placed under various alerts due to heavy snowfall.
