On Wednesday evening, trains operated by CFR Călători on the Periș-Buftea section recorded total delays of 6,525 minutes due to technical problems with the traffic control system, according to a company statement. The incident was caused by a third-party company that accidentally severed the signaling cables during work carried out at railway kilometer 22+110. As a result, train traffic was conducted on a free track, and delays varied between 50 and 240 minutes for 43 trains. After interventions by CFR SA, traffic on track 1 was resumed at 21:10, and on track 2 at 22:10, thus restoring normal traffic conditions.
