Mario Iorgulescu claimed that the victim was under the influence of drugs and threatened his widow, asserting that justice could do nothing to him due to the disability certificate he holds.

"It was an accident, I didn't want it. It's not like I intended to hit him with my car. I didn't die because I was stronger. People hate me because they only listened to Melek's opinion, they didn't listen to my opinion as well. Justice in Romania can't do anything to me because I have disability papers.
