Marilen Pirtea, the rector of the West University of Timișoara and PNL deputy, clarified on Facebook why the property he lives in does not appear in his wealth declaration, after being the target of a robbery. He explained that there is a sales-purchase promise, concluded at the notary, with the rightful owner of the property, but until the transaction is completed and the actual transfer of ownership rights occurs, the property cannot be declared as personal property. Pirtea emphasized that this fact is legal and verifiable, rejecting the insinuations that arose following the incident. In Timiș County, several homes have been attacked by thieves, and among the victims is him, along with other hospital managers.
