Eugen Popa, a man from the village of Valea Seacă, received a document from the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) Bacău declaring him deceased, even though he is alive. He made light of the situation on social media, highlighting the irony of the situation and the fact that, administratively, he was considered dead due to a discrepancy with the system.
Representatives of DGASPC Bacău explained that the document contains drafting errors, using the term 'death' instead of 'not classified in a degree of disability' as a result of a reassessment. They also stated that the document has no legal effects and that they have initiated an internal investigation to clarify the situation.
