A 36-year-old man has been sent to trial by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Arad Tribunal for influence peddling. He is accused of having promised jobs at the Oradea Border Police and at the Firefighters' Subunit in Ineu in exchange for sums of money in the autumn of 2023. F.L. allegedly demanded and received 8,000 euros and 7,000 lei from two individuals, leaving them with the impression that he had influence over officials within the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Investigators claim that the defendant misled the whistleblowers, making them believe that he could intervene to facilitate their hiring. The man will be tried while free, and the case was opened following the complaints made by the victims.
