On Thursday morning, a 51-year-old man from Timiș County was found dead in an annex of the train station in the town of Ciacova. Police found the lifeless body around 09:30, after the man did not respond to phone calls, and the surveillance system indicated a possible deviation. He was under judicial control and was wearing an electronic bracelet, being investigated for driving a vehicle with a suspended license, driving under the influence of alcohol, and bribery.
Initial checks suggest that the man may have hanged himself. A medical crew was called, but could only confirm the death. The police have opened a criminal case for manslaughter and are investigating the circumstances of the tragedy, including possible irregularities in monitoring him.
