Ion Milosiu, a 32-year-old inmate, escaped on Tuesday from Margineni Penitentiary, where he was serving a 5 years and 10 months sentence for sexual intercourse with a minor. He managed to scale the prison fence during work activities, taking advantage of the lack of supervision. He was later caught in the attic of a house in Vărbilău, Prahova County, where he was hiding. The National Penitentiary Administration confirmed the incident, noting that the guard posts were recently replaced with video cameras.
