<p>The incident happened on Saturday in Passau, and police are not ruling out the possibility that the man acted deliberately. Driving a Mercedes, he drove into a group of people on the sidewalk, including his 38-year-old wife and 5-year-old daughter. The Bavarian authorities announced that the number of casualties and the extent of injuries are not yet known. A similar incident occurred earlier in northern Germany, but there the driver lost control of the car due to a medical emergency.
