Man arrested for trafficking psychoactive substances in Cluj

The police of the Cluj-Napoca Organized Crime Fighting Brigade, together with DIICOT prosecutors, investigated a man suspected of trafficking in psychoactive substances, specifically 4BMC, between 2025 and March 2026. He allegedly procured, possessed, and sold the substance to consumers in Cluj County, at prices ranging from 100 to 2,500 lei per dose. During the investigation, approximately 35 grams of prohibited substance were confiscated.

On Tuesday, two home searches took place, where 16 grams of ketamine, 10 grams of 3CMC, a precision scale, and other evidence were found. The man was detained, and the Cluj Tribunal was notified for preventive arrest for 30 days. The action was supported by the gendarmes from the Cluj-Napoca Mobile Gendarmerie Group.
