Firefighters from Bucharest are intervening to extinguish a fire at a transformer within the CET Vest facility, with large smoke emissions.

The ISUBIF firefighters have been called to intervene to extinguish a major fire that broke out at a transformer within the CET Vest premises, located on Timișoara Boulevard. The fire is producing large amounts of smoke, and the authorities have decided to issue a RO-ALERT message to inform and warn the population in the area.

In managing the emergency situation, eight firefighting vehicles, one intervention and rescue vehicle from heights, one rescue vehicle, the Special Rescue Detachment, a robot transport vehicle, and two SMURD ambulances have been alerted. CET representatives have interrupted the power supply, and the firefighters have set up an intervention device. The RO-ALERT message warns citizens to avoid the area and to keep access routes clear for emergency forces, following the recommendations of the authorities.
