The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) warns Romanian citizens about the risks of vegetation fires in Spain, caused by high temperatures and strong winds. It is essential that Romanians follow the instructions of local authorities, especially in case of evacuation. The MFA also recalls that between June and September it is forbidden to light fires and Romanians can request consular assistance in emergency situations. Almost 1,000 soldiers have been mobilized to fight fires in the country.
