Travel advisory for Romanians intending to travel to Russia from Estonia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Romania has announced to Romanian citizens who are in, transiting through, or intending to travel to the Russian Federation from the Republic of Estonia that the Estonian authorities will reduce the operating hours of the Narva–Ivangorod border crossing point.

Starting from June 15, 2026, this point will be open only between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, exclusively for pedestrian traffic. The MFA recommends that Romanian citizens pay attention to these changes and plan their travels accordingly. Additionally, citizens facing difficult or emergency situations can contact the Romanian Embassy in the Russian Federation for assistance.
