Ludovic Orban, reaction after the Recorder documentary: "I, in the place of the president, would have gone over the CSM"

Former presidential advisor Ludovic Orban commented on the Recorder documentary about justice, stating that he was surprised that more magistrates agreed to speak about the problems of the system. Ludovic Orban criticized the Judicial Inspection within the CSM, claiming that it is used as a tool of intimidation and indirectly accused Lia Savonea of influencing justice.

He stated that, instead of President Nicușor Dan, he would have gone with clear messages to the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) and would have involved other institutions, such as the Ministry of Justice or the General Prosecutor's Office, considering that there may be elements of a criminal or disciplinary nature in the film. Additionally, Orban criticized a press conference held by the leadership of the Bucharest Court of Appeal, which he compared to repressive eras, and welcomed the intervention of a judge who supported the veracity of the statements in the documentary.
