The General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest approved the transfer of the land known as 'Esplanada' from the public domain of the state to that of the Municipality of Bucharest, with the aim of creating spaces dedicated to recreation and community activities.

The land, located on Unirii Boulevard, was previously part of the 'Center for Creation and Culture of Romania's Singing'. The Interim Mayor, Stelian Bujduveanu, expressed the desire to transform the area into a multifunctional central park, thus improving the quality of life for residents.
