Radu Marinescu said that the public disclosure of evidence in criminal cases, such as the Cristian Popescu Piedone case, violates the Code of Criminal Procedure, which provides for the confidentiality of criminal proceedings. He emphasized the importance of protecting the right to privacy and promised checks to identify the source of the stenograms that have appeared in the public domain. The minister said that such information could compromise the investigation and called for strict observance of legal rules to ensure the fairness of the criminal process.
