President of the Association Forum of Judges in Romania, Dragoș Călin: "The only important solution to somehow remedy these issues is a rapid amendment of the justice laws."

"It is extremely important that aspects which actually constitute regressions of the judicial system and which derive from the laws that were adopted in 2022 are known to the entire public opinion. These are issues that three very large associations of judges and prosecutors - the Forum of Judges, the Movement for the Defense of the Prosecutor's Status, and the Justice Initiative - pointed out as early as 2022. We said that, in the situation where these laws will be adopted, such deficiencies will arise and we believe that, regardless of the particular situations that many of our colleagues have presented, the only important solution to somehow remedy these aspects is a rapid amendment of the justice laws," stated Dragoș Călin, during the discussions taking place on Monday at the Cotroceni Palace.
