Irineu Darău, the president of USR Brașov and interim minister of Economy, stated in a broadcast on Digi24 that he was profoundly surprised by the level of lies encountered in politics.

Coming from a private environment and having an education based on values such as authenticity, Darău noticed that many people who seem credible one day can assert the exact opposite the next day. This duplicity made him wonder whether it is worth continuing in politics, acknowledging that it has been difficult to process these experiences. Although he has learned to operate with this reality, he emphasized that he will never accept lies as part of political activity.
