Ion Iliescu, aged 95, underwent surgery to ensure the permeability of the upper airways, due to the worsening of his health condition, caused by lung cancer. The intervention went without incident, and the patient is now hospitalized in the intensive care unit, receiving the necessary medical care. Iliescu's general condition was affected by significant breathing difficulties, according to the hospital's medical bulletin.
