On Friday evening, the mountain rescuers from Poiana Brașov announced a record number of interventions for the current season, with 20 cases managed in a single day. These interventions involved 21 people who were injured or stranded in the upper area of the massif. One person was transported by a SMURD crew for further investigations.
Since the beginning of the season, the Salvamont team has intervened in 386 cases, helping a total of 400 people who needed assistance in the mountain environment. This intense activity coincides with school holidays in several counties, which has contributed to the increased number of accidents.
