An intervention alert was triggered in the resort of Băile Olănești, Vâlcea County, after a main natural gas supply pipeline was accidentally broken by workers who were working on the sewage system. The incident was reported on Thursday via a call to 112. Authorities evacuated 35 people from the affected area as a precaution, and firefighters from ISU Vâlcea, along with gas distribution teams, secured the area to prevent a possible explosion. The gas supply was temporarily halted until the damage was repaired. Technical teams continue to work on closing the pipeline and eliminating any risk.
