The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) issued a yellow flood warning on Wednesday, valid until Thursday morning, for rivers in several counties.
The warning refers to the period from July 8, 12:00 PM - July 9, 9:00 AM, during which significant precipitation is expected that may generate important runoff on slopes, torrents, and streams, as well as increases in flow rates and levels, with the risk of exceeding the Attention Thresholds. The affected counties include Maramureș, Satu Mare, Bistrița-Năsăud, Harghita, Mureș, Suceava, and Neamț, targeting the hydrographic basins of Vișeu, Iza, Lăpuș, Tur, Someșul Mare, Mureș, Bistrița, and Moldova.
Additionally, the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) announced that 37 counties, including Bucharest, are under yellow bad weather warning, with a restriction of atmospheric instability phenomena expected until Friday morning.
