On October 23, a man was restrained by gendarmes after making a sudden left turn on Kiseleff Road, heading directly towards the gate of the Russian Embassy. The Bucharest Gendarmerie stated that the vehicle stopped 20-30 cm from the gate, and the man's actions were considered indicators for the intervention of the gendarmes.

However, the Prosecutor's Office of Sector 1 dismissed all charges, including those of driving without a license and under the influence of substances, finding that the man had the right to drive. He explained that he got lost due to the GPS, denying any intention to enter the embassy. The incident prompted a rapid mobilization of law enforcement, but it turned out to be a misunderstanding.
