The leader of AUR, George Simion, announced on Tuesday that the motion of censure to remove Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, which was signed by 253 parliamentarians, has been submitted.
"There is clearly a majority of parliamentarians who want the Bolojan government to go home," declared George Simion.
The motion of censure was submitted at 2:00 PM by the technical staff of the parties to the office of the President of the Senate, the liberal Mircea Abrudean, and to that of the President of the Chamber of Deputies, the social democrat Sorin Grindeanu, according to procedure.
The submission of the motion of censure comes just a day after Marian Neacșu (PSD), former Deputy Prime Minister, and Petrișor Peiu, the leader of the AUR senators, announced in a joint press statement that the two parties have formed an alliance to remove Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
On Monday, George Simion said that "if everything goes according to plan, on May 5 we will have a vote for the removal of the Bolojan Government".
