IGSU has deployed forces from neighboring counties to support the ISU Bucharest-Ilfov firefighters in managing the effects of the storm.

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) has decided to deploy several intervention forces from the neighboring counties of the Capital to support the firefighters of ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, who are facing nearly 2,000 cases generated by the storm from Tuesday night to Wednesday.

Tens of military firefighters, equipped with specific technology and equipment, have been mobilized to ensure the continuity of missions in Bucharest and Ilfov County. The resources include 13 special fire engines, 10 trucks, 20 trailer-mounted pumps, 10 portable pumps, and 10 chainsaws, coming from the counties of Argeș, Buzău, Călărași, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Ialomița, Prahova, Teleorman, and Vrancea.

The measure was taken to promptly manage the effects of severe weather phenomena, including water evacuation and the removal of fallen trees.
