The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) has issued orange and yellow hydrological warnings valid from Sunday to Monday, concerning numerous rivers in the country.
Hydrologists warn of the risk of significant runoff on slopes, torrents, and streams, rapid floods on small rivers, and possible local flooding.
The orange warning is in effect for watercourses in the counties of Prahova, Vrancea, Harghita, Bacău, Neamț, and Covasna, while the yellow warning concerns hydrographic basins in over 20 counties, where significant increases in river flows and levels are expected, with possible exceedances of flood protection levels.
