Hospital funding accounts for almost half of the CNAS budget, totaling 33 billion lei, but this does not translate into the quality of medical services. Moldovan stressed that hospitals receive large sums of money, but there is no significant improvement in the treatments and investigations offered to patients. He proposed reforms, including the merging of funding sources and a rethink of hospital classification, to ensure fair and predictable funding.
