Hidroelectrica has challenged a tax decision by ANAF which established an additional amount of more than 62 million lei to the surcharge due by energy producers.

In its 2023 Activity Report, Hidroelectrica states that it is confident that the dispute will be resolved in favor of the Group. The lawsuit was generated by the successive amendments to the normative acts on the methodology for calculating the tax for electricity producers.
