Hidroelectrica has announced the launch of the procurement procedure for the design, supply, and installation of the equipment related to the Nehoiașu II Hydroelectric Power Plant, part of the Surduc-Siriu Hydroenergetic Development. The project, estimated at 49.5 million euros, aims to develop renewable energy production capacities and strengthen Romania's energy security. The contract will include design, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning activities, with an implementation duration of 44 months. The CEO of Hidroelectrica, Bogdan Badea, emphasized the importance of this project for increasing renewable energy production capacity and improving the flexibility of the National Energy System. The project will include the installation of a complete hydroaggregate and the extension of the 110 kV electrical substation, thus contributing to the valorization of the hydroenergetic potential of the Buzău River.
