Meteorologists have issued Code yellow and orange heatwave warnings, with temperatures reaching up to 39 degrees in some counties.

On Saturday, meteorologists have issued a Code Yellow heatwave for the counties of Banat, Crișana, Oltenia, Muntenia and south-west Dobrogea, where temperatures will range between 35 and 38 degrees. On Sunday, the warning is extended to include 24 counties and Bucharest, with a Code Orange in Bihor, Arad, Timiș, Caraș-Severin, Mehedinți and Dolj, where 38-39 degrees Celsius will be recorded. The discomfort will be severe and the night will be tropical. The temperature-humidity index will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units.
