Alexandru Rogobete, Minister of Health, has announced legislative changes for sick leave in light of suspicious past situations.

Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete said that a reform in the way sick leave is granted is necessary, stressing the importance of rigorous control. He noted that although it is not possible to completely eliminate the phenomenon of abuse, significant progress can be made in reducing it. In addition, he announced that he had sent the ministry's and the CNAS's control corps to check the situation of sick leave, as he had suspicions that one million leaves were issued last year under unclear conditions.
