The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that the AUR motion against the Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, had a positive effect, speeding up the approval of hydropower plants. Although the PSD will not vote for the motion, Grindeanu urged the Prime Minister to sign the approval for the hydropower plant in Pașcani by the end of the week and to simplify the procedures for other hydropower plants. The tense discussions within the Coalition highlighted the dissatisfaction of the social democrats regarding the minister's activity, but also the pressure to collaborate with the Opposition.
