On December 22, the prices of gold and silver reached new historical records, with gold futures contracts reaching $4,477.7 per ounce, while spot gold increased by 2.29% to $4,437.16 per ounce. Since the beginning of the year, gold has advanced by nearly 70%, being perceived as a safe-haven asset during periods of economic turmoil. Silver followed the same trend, reaching a peak of $68.96 per ounce, with a 128% increase in 2025.
