Gold has shown a constant increase during periods of recession, with a recent advance of 11% in just three weeks. Global demand reached 5,000 tons in 2024, and bankers at Goldman Sachs estimate that the price could reach $5,000 an ounce if 1% of U.S. government bonds are converted into gold.
