Following an extraordinary meeting, the CJSU Giurgiu has decided to activate the County Coordination Center to monitor severe weather. Classes will be suspended on October 8 for the safety of students. Local authorities are prepared to intervene, and the population is being warned through RO-Alert messages. It is recommended to avoid flood-prone areas, and ISU forces from other counties will support interventions to limit the effects of extreme weather. The red alert is in effect for several counties, including Giurgiu.
