AUR leader George Simion will not be allowed to enter the Republic of Moldova as his ban is maintained. The meeting to consider the legality of the ban was postponed to July 2. Simion has been declared an inadmissible person since 2009 because of his unionist actions, and the last extension of the ban took place in 2024, citing risks to national security. Simion is also banned in Ukraine. In the May 18 presidential elections, he won 12% of the vote.
