After publicly conceding defeat in the presidential elections and congratulating Nicușor Dan, George Simion announced that he will contest the result. In a comment on Facebook, he emphasized that he is a "fighter", rejecting accusations of treason. Although he expressed pride for the support he received from more than 5 million Romanians, Simion acknowledged "the bitter taste of defeat".
