A gas pipeline failure in Craiova led to the interruption of supply for 1,316 consumers, and resumption is expected for Saturday evening.

More than 1,300 consumers in Craiova and the surrounding localities are affected by the interruption of natural gas supply, caused by a failure in an underground pipeline that occurred on Thursday evening. Distrigaz Sud Rețele announced that the incident was recorded on Romanescu Nicolae Street, and the supply was halted starting at 19:07.

Approximately 1,316 clients, both residential and non-residential, from areas such as Balta Verde, Braniște, Gura Văii, Livezi, Podari, and Rovine, are affected. Intervention teams are working to fix the fault, and the resumption of supply is estimated for Saturday, February 7, around 18:00.

In case clients smell gas after the resumption, they are advised to take precautions and contact the emergency center. The failure required the evacuation of 30 people from six homes and the diversion of traffic in the area.
