Romania will find out on August 31 if it maintains the funding for the Moldova Highway of nearly 2 billion euros

The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, Horațiu Cosma, declared on Saturday, after a visit to the A7 Highway, that the date of August 31 is crucial to determine whether Romania will be able to fully attract non-reimbursable funding from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) for the Moldova Highway.

Cosma emphasized that the viaduct at Cleja represents the hottest point of the entire project, highlighting its importance in the context of developing the road infrastructure in the country. The decision on August 31 will significantly influence the progress of the works and the ability to complete the project within the established deadlines.
