The French Ambassador, Nicolas Warnery, stated that France will remain the framework nation of the Battle Group in Romania as long as NATO desires this. During a press conference, he presented the conclusions of the military exercise Dacian Fall, which led to the elevation of the Group from Cincu to brigade status. After the exercise, the troops and equipment will leave Romania, and the group will return to its previous size. General Cyril Mathias explained the complex logistics of the exercise, which involved the transport of 1,300 soldiers and 6,000 tons of cargo.
He emphasized the importance of mobility and cooperation between France and Romania, mentioning that any difficulties encountered are collective and not just Romania's. Mathias supported the idea of a military Schengen but stressed the need to respect national legislation in times of peace. The Dacian Fall exercise is part of the commitment of the Aigle mission, demonstrating effective collaboration between Romanian and French forces within NATO.
