Four men have been arrested in Cluj-Napoca for stealing 52,000 lei from an 89-year-old man after they misled him.

The Cluj County Police announced the arrest of four men, aged between 19 and 41, accused of qualified theft. On October 20, 2025, they entered the home of an 89-year-old man under the pretext that they had a pigeon stuck in the attic.

Two of the men entered the building while the other two kept watch. Following this action, they stole 40,000 lei and gold jewelry, with the total damage estimated at 52,000 lei. The police recovered the entire amount on January 28, after identifying the suspects.
