Marius Ovidiu Isăilă was arrested for 30 days, accused of bribery, after he tried to bribe the Minister of Defense.

Former senator Marius Ovidiu Isăilă was detained by the DNA and subsequently arrested for 30 days, being accused of influence peddling. According to the transcripts, Isăilă allegedly promised, through an intermediary, the sum of 1 million euros to obtain interventions from the Minister of Defense, Ionuț Moșteanu, in order to finalize contracts between a private company and the national company Romtehnica. In the recorded discussions, Isăilă suggests that the minister will have "the guarantees secured" and discusses ways to avoid leaving traces in the transaction. The DNA confirmed that Isăilă committed the crime in a state of recidivism, considering that he had previously been convicted for other corruption offenses.
