Ciprian Șerban, former minister from PSD, drew attention to a serious problem for Romanian farmers, who are facing the blockage of grain production in silos. He explained that railway operators prioritize the transport of grain from Ukraine, which leads to the accumulation of debts for Romanian farmers, who can no longer sell their products. Comparing the situation to neglecting a dairy cow, Șerban emphasized the importance of agriculture and transport infrastructure for the Romanian economy. The former minister called for the urgent intervention of the Romanian state, warning that destabilization of the agricultural sector could have serious consequences. He emphasized that private railway operators must take into account the subsidies received from the state budget, which come from the taxes of Romanian farmers.
