Manole highlighted that the issue is not the impact on high-income families, but the disproportionate effect on those with limited financial resources.

The minister argued that progressive taxation is applied in many civilized countries within the European Union and would help reduce the tax burden on low-income individuals. He also mentioned the need to improve tax collection and to sanction non-compliance with labor laws.
