Florin Manole, the Minister of Labor, stated that at the PSD congress there will be voices criticizing the lack of democracy in the party, although he believes this is not a major problem. Manole mentioned that PSD has only one candidate for the party leadership, after another one withdrew, emphasizing that it would have been preferable to have more candidates.

He also criticized the behavior of politicians who praise leaders like Cîțu and Ciucă, calling this attitude "servility." The minister emphasized the importance of a moderate and consensual political discourse, warning about the risks of right-wing extremism and expressing hope that AUR will not reach 50% of the votes. He stressed that all politicians should adopt a more rational discourse to avoid unnecessary inflaming of society.

Florin Manole: Sunt convins că, în marja congresului PSD, vom vedea oameni slab alfabetizaţi politic spunând că nu e democraţie la PSD, dar când a fost festivalul democraţiei, vă amintiţi slugărnicia: Ce bun eşti tu, Cîţu! Ce bun eşti tu, Ciucă!
