The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, announced the appointment of Florin Ghiță as the interim director of the National Administration "Apele Române", with a clear mandate for reorganization and transparency. Ghiță, with experience in the field, will work on restoring the connections between ANAR and other institutions. The dismissal of the former director, Sorin Lucaci, was motivated by the loss of over 300 million euros in essential European funds for flood defense infrastructure. Buzoianu emphasizes the need to reform the institution to prevent new devastating floods.
