The floods and torrential rains have caused damage in several localities in Vrancea.

The Vrancea Prefecture announced that floods, torrential rains, and strong winds have affected communal roads, riverbanks, and bridges in several localities in the county.

The Prefect's Institution informed that, in the commune of Poiana Cristei, in the village of Petreanu, the banks of watercourses and the concrete bridges in the Brazi and Văi areas have been affected. The intervention of the Local Emergency Situations Committee allowed for the clearing of the road and the restoration of traffic on the bridges. In the commune of Gura Caliței, in the village of Plopu, erosion of the right bank of the Râmna River was reported, and in the commune of Câmpineanca, a tree uprooted by the wind destroyed the roof of a building and affected public lighting. In the commune of Vintileasca, the rains have stripped portions of communal road and triggered a landslide, blocking communal road 177A. The Vrancea Prefecture continues to monitor the situation generated by these extreme weather phenomena.
